A Shopping Trip
Two of my former colleagues from SPS went to my cafe to look for me but I wasn't around. Arranged to meet them in town instead. Caught up with them at Zara, a building next to Wheelock Place. Angela was shopping for her campus wear. SPS would be losing another good teacher when she leaves next month to further her studies at NTU. Spent about 90 min at Zara where she bought 2 tops. By then it was near dinner time so we walked along busy Orchard Road down to Orchard Emerald to settle down at a food court there. I had herbal chicken soup while Angela had Miso soup and Eric had chicken briyani - vegetarian style.

After dinner, Angela decided to shop for a pair of sneakers so we headed to Heeren. The place was packed with shoppers. Went round various shoes shops looking for her ideal pair of sneakers. Tried on a few but none since to match the outfit she had in mind. Next strolled down to Takashimaya then to Wisma Atrium but the shoes there weren't to her liking. By then Eric was getting impatient as she had already been shopping for the shoes for about 2h. He didn't understand why was it so diffcult for her to buy a pair of sports shoes. Why must she be so fussy and particular? To him as long as the colour is right and it fits then buy it. I was more understanding or should I say I had worse experience. (Shopping for 4h for a pair of jeans with one of my female students) I explained to him that most gals love shopping and they would never stop or even feel tired until they get what they want. Finally we had to leave empty-handed as the shops were already pulling down their shutters. She decided to shop for it another day at another location. Eric hinted that he wouldn't want to join us for the next shopping trip whereas for me I don't really mind as I have always enjoyed shopping, not that I'm a sissy though. To me shopping is an art and knowing how to bargain is a skill. Anyone interested in going shopping with me?
